Community Integration
Occupational Therapists at St. Francis Memorial Hospital are key rehabilitation professionals in assisting individuals with a variety of conditions to reintegrate back into the community.
A holistic approach is utilized to encompass all aspects of an individual’s life including:
• Activities of daily living (e.g. self care)
• Instrumental activities of daily living (e.g. home management, work demands, social participation)
Our therapists can help patients relearn how to do activities or determine new ways of accomplishing them. They may work with individuals in real life settings such as the grocery store, bank, mall, workplace, home, etc.
