Neurological Conditions
Diseases and injuries of the nervous system can have a significant impact on the body’s ability to function appropriately as the nervous system’s role is to control the muscles of the body and their coordinated movements. Physical therapy plays an important role in working with individuals who have incurred a neurologic deficit and your therapist will help you develop a plan to reach your maximum level of function. Neurologic physical therapy can help with pain reduction, restoring balance and coordination, improving walking patterns and safety, and modification of daily activities to improve independence within the home and community.
